On 24 October, Prof. Pan Hui, Associate Professor of IAPME, gave a presentation entitled ‘Project-oriented teaching and learning’. The workshop attracted about 35 academic staff members.

In his presentation, Prof. Pan said that he re-learnt scientific knowledge from his daughter’s perspective and that he applied related experience to improve students’ motivation to learn. He also mentioned that his idea of teaching could enhance students’ development of good character, a quality essential to their future life.

He pointed out that the concept of project-oriented teaching and learning could stimulate students’ creative thinking and prompt them to apply whatthey had learned in class to daily life. The ultimate purpose of such pedagogical approach is to promote students to learn in a positive attitude during university life.

澳門大學教與學優化中心於10月24日邀請了應用物理及材料工程研究所的助理教授潘暉以“項目為本的教與學“為題進行演講，吸引近35位教學人員出席。

潘教授在演講中談到，他從女兒的角度重新學習科學知識，並利用相關經驗來改善學生的學習動機；他提到他的教學理念能使學生培養好的品格，對他們未來的人生相當重要。

他指出，以〝項目為本的教與學〞理念能激發學生的創意思維，使課堂上學到的知識應用在日常生活中，而理念的最終目的，是推動學生在大學四年都能以正向態度學習。
